It's Always The Same

from Instant Pleasure by Seth Swirsky

/

lyrics

Each day I wake I can’t decide
What I will do with the rest of my life
It’s always the same.

I sit down to write, so uninspired
Wouldn’t you know, I’m already tired.
It’s always the same.

What happened to the dreams I had long ago
I opened the jar and let them all go.

So many little things I still wanna do
Everyone needs something to look forward to.

I love myself then I hate myself
I wish I was anyone and nobody else.
It’s always the same, it’s always the same.

Notes on song:
I saw a note that the artist Marc Chagall wrote that said, “Work, work, work. I get tired when I don’t work. I get up each morning and I have no idea of what I am going to do, I am very worried. Then I go to bed and still worry, and say: I haven’t worked enough, It’s always the same.” That’s where the title and inspiration for this song comes from.
